Tot Lot

The tot lot is still one of Libby's favorite places to go. And her favorite thing about the "park" is when she swings high in the sky and kicks the dragons while flying over Grandma's, and Mimi's, and Avery's houses. (This game was invented by Dad so I don't want the credit for it)

Striking a pose. I did not tell her to do this. I asked her to make a funny face and this is what she came up with!

Libby's party

Thanks Anjanette...for the photos, seeing as I am becoming quite the slacker where picture-taking is concerned! I love the pics and I love your camera!

So for whatever reason, Libby got "shy" with all the crowd. It didn't last too long.

Of course she did not mind joining her friends at the table when there were cupcakes involved.

I was glad to see that Libby is not the only child who eats the icing but leaves the cake.

Gretchen and Reese. Little pizza faces. Is her hair not gorgeous?

She was thrilled with her cupcake cake. She picked it out.

Libby's Birthday

So I am starting to slack in getting pictures. This is because Libby doesn't seem to be changing every week or month and also because I am not happy with my camera. Or at least I'm not happy with the quality of the pictures that it takes inside at all. There are some pics from Libby's birthday dinner at Chuck E Cheese, which Gina, Scott, Avery, and Ethan helped us celebrate. I took zero pictures of her birthday party at the house her family and a couple of her girlfriends, so if you have some please send them my way!!!

This morning, she told Joseph (well she actually yelled down the driveway to him and probably woke up the neighbors) to "be a good listener at school Joe".... isn't that cute? This is the pot calling the kettle black I guess. It reminds me of Jacob and Joey and bedtime prayers long ago. They always used to start their prayers with their praises and thank you's, and then ask forgiveness for whatever the other one did, before moving on to their wishlists which was always the longest part. I miss those days!

Last night, I asked Libby if she ever cried at school. Libby explained to me that she was cried yesterday at school because she wanted cookies. "And mom", she said, "animal Crackers are not cookies". So apparently, or at least possibly, she was crying at school yesterday during snacktime. She went on to tell me "But it's okay because when you mix animal crackers with milk, and mix it up and mix it, you get beer. And beer is good". I swear I have no idea where she gets her stuff. Kids have such imaginations and I don't know what is real and what is not. My take is she wanted cookies, she got animal crackers, she was upset. She dunked her crackers in milk, ate them, and they were good. But who knows.

Love to all.
