Easter 2008

So we had fun yesterday. Missed Laura, Ryan, and Megan...hope all is well in Germany! Hope they made it because I have no idea. I know that they boarded the plane though on Friday despite a huge snowstorm in our area. Some places got 14 inches! No egghunt for us outside on Easter day, although the weather was quite nice. I have a cute story and then I'll post a (dark nightime) video of Libby's new song she learned just for Easter. I'll post lots of pictures from yesterday as well. Sorry for the poor quality of color in the video....it's from my camera and not my camcorder.

Libby’s first prayer. I’ll have to try and write this in her baby book, if there’s any more room.

(L) Mommy, let’s go outside.
(M) No, I have to clean the kitchen.
(L) Oh, you’re busy?
(M) Yes, I’m busy.
(L) OK, Libby go outside by herself.
(M) That’s not a good idea. Why don’t you ask Joey.

…Libby exit to the basement. I’m assuming a similar conversation took place…only Joey would have been too busy watching TV. I overhear her climbing the stairs saying “Ok, I’ll go outside by myself”

(M) That’s still not a good idea. Why don’t you see if Daddy will take you for a walk with Fiona. (L) Oh, OK.

Libby now goes upstairs into my room to ask her Dad. Next thing I hear is Matt cracking up and this is his recollection of Libby’s first prayer. Below "M" represents "Matt" and not "Me".

(L) Daddy can you take me outside?
(M) No, I’m tired.
(L) OK, Libby go outside with Fiona.
(M) You can’t go outside by yourself.
(L) Why?
(M) Because you’re too little.
(L) Why?
(M) Because you’re only 2.
(L) Why?
(M) Because you were born 2 years ago.
(L) Why?
(M) I don’t know, ask God.
(L) GOD, CAN LIBBY GO OUTSIDE WITH DADDY????

Needless to say…Libby got to go outside and so her first prayer was answered... instantly.

Since it snowed about 8-10 inches on Good Friday, Grandma P played bible trivia for easter eggs in lieu of a hunt this year.

Puppies

Joshua and Dani are getting some (looks like) lab mix puppies. They are adorable! I hope they know what they're getting into. Fiona is alot to handle and she is ALL that I could handle right now!! They are leaving for Cabo tomorrow and are very excited...one week in Mexico and then 4 days at Dani's Dad's house.
