Libby had her first little “Holiday Show” at school…. She did not sing. She smiled (once) …. ….because Jacob came in late with Sebashton on his shoulders. The rest of the time she had a scared little pout - face going on. When we got home, I asked her to sing her song…so here it is:

Fall 2008
So time is still flying. Let's see. I can't remember when I posted last with text. Lots has been going on in the past couple of months so I'll just wing it. Libby started preschool this past August and has adjusted rather well I think. There are a few problems here and there... with listening or with crying, but for the most part she's grown a ton socially and is learning new things all the time.
On a down note, she's been sick alot lately. Within October she's had a couple of infections and then most recently a horrible cough. It's getting better I think each day that goes by but her doctor prescribed breathing treatments for her so he's treating her as if she has asthma. Time will tell I guess. We've had a very wet season and there is allot of mold in the air right now. Well, actually, this morning it frosted so I think that kills the mold. We'll see.
I posted pics below from Libby's Halloween party at the school last weekend. She had a great time and loves to be dressed up.
Josh and Jake are or are going to be laid off. Please keep them in your prayers. They both have jobs where it's more seasonal than anything and so hopefully it's not a permanent situation and hopefully they've both saved for the "rainy days"....
Sebashton is cute as ever. He is a little ball of energy. He is fast too, VERY FAST. He can climb out of his pac n play in about 20 seconds. I had him overnight a couple of weeks ago and was afraid to let him sleep in it so I pulled him into bed with me. When we woke up in the morning, Matt, Libby, Sebashton, and I were all in the same bed. And the babies were taking most of the room. Seriously, that little boy reminds me so much of his Daddy. Jacob was the same way...didn't talk much but boy was he curious, into everything, climbed anything and everything, and was very fast. Sebashton is a very happy baby. He doesn't cry or fuss much. If you tell him no, he might be unhappy for a moment, but then just "moves on" to the next thing.
Joe is getting into trouble. Allot. I'm not going to even write about it because it's upsetting. Please keep him in your prayers also.
Well, before this gets too long (if it isn't already) I'll go ahead and close now. Love to all! Happy Halloween!

Halloween Party
Doesn't she look like she's doing a piece for theater, hmm. Shakespeare perhaps....
O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo?Deny thy father and refuse thy name;Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,And I'll no longer be a Capulet.
Her costume with the crown / veil. Maybe it's a purple princess bride. Grandma made this for Avery a couple of years ago...
Halloween Party
There is a story behind this one. Apparently the volunteer for the beanbag game thought Libby was older. She made Libby "stand back" because she was "taller".
After realizing that "taller" doesn't mean you are more skilled at throwing and aiming, Libby was allowed to move closer - like the other kids in her age - range.

Tot Lot
The tot lot is still one of Libby's favorite places to go. And her favorite thing about the "park" is when she swings high in the sky and kicks the dragons while flying over Grandma's, and Mimi's, and Avery's houses. (This game was invented by Dad so I don't want the credit for it)

Striking a pose. I did not tell her to do this. I asked her to make a funny face and this is what she came up with!

Libby's Birthday
So I am starting to slack in getting pictures. This is because Libby doesn't seem to be changing every week or month and also because I am not happy with my camera. Or at least I'm not happy with the quality of the pictures that it takes inside at all. There are some pics from Libby's birthday dinner at Chuck E Cheese, which Gina, Scott, Avery, and Ethan helped us celebrate. I took zero pictures of her birthday party at the house her family and a couple of her girlfriends, so if you have some please send them my way!!!
This morning, she told Joseph (well she actually yelled down the driveway to him and probably woke up the neighbors) to "be a good listener at school Joe".... isn't that cute? This is the pot calling the kettle black I guess. It reminds me of Jacob and Joey and bedtime prayers long ago. They always used to start their prayers with their praises and thank you's, and then ask forgiveness for whatever the other one did, before moving on to their wishlists which was always the longest part. I miss those days!
Last night, I asked Libby if she ever cried at school. Libby explained to me that she was cried yesterday at school because she wanted cookies. "And mom", she said, "animal Crackers are not cookies". So apparently, or at least possibly, she was crying at school yesterday during snacktime. She went on to tell me "But it's okay because when you mix animal crackers with milk, and mix it up and mix it, you get beer. And beer is good". I swear I have no idea where she gets her stuff. Kids have such imaginations and I don't know what is real and what is not. My take is she wanted cookies, she got animal crackers, she was upset. She dunked her crackers in milk, ate them, and they were good. But who knows.
Love to all.
