Okay so I keep getting scolded for not updating the blog. I don’t have a great deal of new pictures either but there is always plenty to report on!
I’m worried about Libby. I’m not even attempting to have her nap / sleep in her crib anymore as she climbs out. More accurately, she climbs up and drops out. I need to get Matt to convert her crib to a bed. I’ve been sleeping with her at night in Jake’s old bed and I think I’m creating a monster. She is so attached to me (and usually only me). It is increasingly difficult to drop her off at the sitter’s. Also, she is so shy sometimes. Beth signed her up for gymnastics (an early birthday gift) and she clings to Beth. We went to story time at the library and she did not participate, not even with me right beside her. Not sure what to do as sometimes she acts more like an extravert and run away from me instead of cling (this usually when I’d rather she cling, ie beach, drive-in, Great-America…)
Joshua sent me some video of his new home. I’ll see about posting those. I’ve not in the past been successful at posting video to the site. Pictures are easy. Joshua’s Dani is deployed and is leaving for Aphganistan shortly. Joshua tells me she is safe and will not be permitted to leave base. She will work on planes over there in maintenance. We’ll pray for her safety. They’ll miss their first anniversary together. So sad. I hate to think of Joshua alone too, although I know he’s safe, for the holidays. I’ll have to see about getting him home for a visit, provided he can get some time off.
Jake and Tiffany are doing well. Jake’s hard at work and studying for his CDL. Baby Sebashton is cuter than ever. He has a rash on his face (allergies???) He is starting to coo and smile. Such a precious little boy. I love my Saturdays with him. Libby does too. “Baby DuhBattuhn” gets fed, burped, and changed with Libby’s help.
Joey is still with Nikki. He’s been busy since he got his freedom back. He spent last weekend at the carnival. He’s been reading a lot too since the new Harry Potter book is out. He read the last one in preparation since it has been so long. It’s good to see him reading. He’s always loved a good book.
I am so happy to report that Collin is to be baptized in August. I’d love to attend, but am not sure if I could swing it – trying to save for a November trip to Florida. From what Renae’s told me, their pastor seems like such a nice man. I’m glad Renae is raising Collin in the faith because it is so important. It reminds me I’ve got to get back in the swing of things too.
Okay.. I keep adding (sorry but you asked). Amanda called me yesterday (Mike’s daughter) and I have her number at home in case anyone would like to call. It was great hearing from her and she has wonderful news! She’s expecting her first baby in January and may be moving to the Chicago area with her fiancĂ©. Congratulations Amanda! Move close!
