Hi everyone. To those of you who I rarely see, I had a wonderful time in Pittsburgh and I miss you already!! It was very hard to leave and a tough trip home. As I already told Renae….” Lisa cried through Pennsylvania and Libby cried through Ohio.” How fun for Matt and the boys, right? The rest of the week was mostly spent being lazy and hanging around the house, which is exactly what we all needed because we were exhausted and Libby fell sick to a bad cold.
Still, it was a good vacation and a very nice time. I now have more warm memories of playtime in Grandma’s beautiful backyard. The Bocce game was fun to watch and a first for Jacob and Joseph, I am sure. I enjoyed watching my kids and my niece and nephews playing in the same backyard that I did with my sisters and brothers. I think Collin wore Rod out (he loved every minute). Ethan and Libby were mostly imprisoned for our outside time but I don’t think they minded very much. In fact, Collin and Avery at times wanted access to the jail cell too!
Another memory that I will carry is Bruno’s dear friend Alesandro (not sure if I am spelling that right… am using phonetics’ here) and how he adored our little ones. You know, the one who is going back to Italy? I am going to include a picture of him in the post because it just makes me smile. I sure hope he gets to be a Granddad soon. In Italian, Grandpa is Nonno – I just looked that up are you impressed?
