January updates

Hello everyone. Hope you all got the pictures I mailed last week. I posted a few updated pics of Libby below. She is growing in leaps and bounds! I took her to the doctor 1/26 as she had a fever (on and off) for 3 days. She is healthy but all stuffed up so to avoid an ear infection, they prescribed a decongestant for her. At 5 months, she now weighs 18lbs 13oz, just 5 little ounces less than Ethan! WHAT A CHUNK! We missed Avery's birthday party to avoid spreading or contracting any germs but from what I understand it was a very nice time.

That's all for now. I'll post more next week. Joey is having a concert at the high school in a month or so. Not that you'd like his music, but if you are interested (bring an aspirin or two) let me know.

Tubby Time

Hi Aunty Nae!
I love the tubby toys you got me for Christmas. Pretty soon I'll be able to play better with them, they are too heavy to pick up and put to my mouth right now. I sure do like to splash them around though!

Babysitting with an 8 month old isn't easy!

Here is a picture of my day with the cousin-twins!!! Ha! Ha! Believe me, it was difficult at times but joyous at others.

Happy New Year

Hello everyone and Happy Belated New Year. The holidays are over, I am another year older, and this Wednesday 1/11/06 Matt and I will celebrate twenty years of marriage together. This day will also mark the one-year anniversary since we found out that Elizabeth Paige would be joining our little family unit. I don't think I can duplicate that gift to Matt this or any year!

The boys are well, see the blog below concerning Joshua's engagement! 2005 brought baby blessings and 2006 may very well bring wedding bells! Jacob and Joseph are taking finals this week at school. They are not doing as well academically as they should... this is the story of their lives and nothing new... so hopefully they will test well. Especially Jake and Geometry. Joey's band had a competition over the weekend and took third place (out of 5). Not too bad.

Gina watched the baby for me for the first time on Friday last week. She got a taste for a few hours of what twins might be like.. Ethan helped himself to Libby's bink... crawled up to her and grabbed it from her mouth and stuck it in his! How cute is that? They share!

Collin apparently got a call from Santa and the Easter bunny last night by way of the MiMi. He is looking forward to purple eggs for Easter. We'll have to remember that. I so want to go with Mom in early March to visit Charlotte. I just don't know if I could swing it!

Well, time to close this blog. I am so grateful for my family...my prayer for you all is that you be blessed with a happy and healthy 2006. Love you.

Engaged

Joshua announced on Christmas Eve that he and Dani are planning to marry in or around October. This was quite a surprise! Dani came up for a visit over the holiday from Hill AFB in Utah and stayed with us on Christmas Eve and then with Richard (cousin) the rest of the week. Dani said she felt very welcome on both sides of our family.
